Aims, contents and method of the course

This course is based on two other courses: the preparatory course for the field research (winter term 2016/17) and the field trip to Indonesia during the summer term 2017. THE SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION/COMPLETION IN/OF BOTH OF THESE COURSES IS A REQUIREMENT FOR PARTICIPATING IN THIS CURRENT COURSE (METHODENSEMINAR)!
Topics:
- Ethnographic qualitative research methods
- Collection of further data/materials
- Evaluation, analysis and interpretation of data and other materials
- Reflection of the research process
These topics will be discussed and dealt with before, during and after the field trip, depending on possiblities and needs.

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students are required to attend the classes and timely complete all works in class and at home. Further requirements: oral presentations; submission of a written seminar paper at the end of the course
