(1) the main idea and concept of the reduction will be discussed,
(2) the different ways, that, according to Husserl, lead into the reduction, presented,
(3) the different forms of reduction compared with each other,
(4) challenges and difficulties as well as the metaphysical commitment of the reduction as philosophical method elucidated.In the second part of the course
(5) parallels and differences between reduction and current forms of introspection will then be carved out. Finally, but in the sense of a guiding question also during the whole course, it will be
(6) examined which possibilities the reduction offers for the investigation of consciousness and self-consciousness in the context of current debates and
(7) what kind of limits and limitations need to be taken into consideration hereby.
