Aims, contents and method of the course

central elements of this lecture are the formative scriptures of the Jewish tradition, Mishnah, Toseftah, the Talmudim, and Midrashim. These texts are interpreted and contextualized.

Knowledge about important Jewisch traditional texts, knowledge about hermeneutics etc.

Examination topics

lecture, discussion, reading and interpreting texts (together).
