Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of this course is to get acquainted with tools of computational data analysis and data visualization. The idea is to learn work flows to effectively implement statistical analysis routines and analytic documentation.

Key aspects are
Introduction to scientific computing using R.
Data handling, regular expressions, statistical tools, time-series analysis, data visualization, large data processing, optimization, html and visualization frameworks, financial time series and limit order book markets

Assessment and permitted materials
