Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The Seminar examines notions, sensations, emotions, experiences and the diverse modes of perceiving and conveying connotated with the topoi. Based on selected case studies forms and concepts of representation in mainstream filmproduction for TV and Cinema are critically analysed from cross-cultural, post-colonial anthropological and trans-disciplinary perspectives.
The seminar's goal is providing theoretical-methodological knowledge to enable participants to gain insight and competences for independant further work in the relevant topic areas.
This is an inter-active course Apart from some introductory input lectures the seminar is based on intense communication, open discussion, active contribution and group work of all participants, based on the use of literature and multi-media materials. With special guests.
The seminar is conducted in English.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Marking is based on active participation including discussion and short written work (30%), 10 min. presentation (35%), and final paper (35%).
Closing date for final paper delivery: 05.04.2017 .

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Presence (max. absence: one session), presentation, active participation in discussions, timely delivery of final paper all items have to be positive.
